Fishing Report
By Mike Keller
Our lake continues to produce excellent fishing opportunities for largemouth bass. You
may not catch a 4 pounder but there are many in the 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 lb range that provided great
action. There are times when you may hook that big one because most of our fish that are
released continue to grow and becomes a lot smarter and harder to catch. Smaller fish are
quicker than the larger more hesitant big bass. But 5+ pounders are in our lake because just
about every year someone hooks one.

During my years at the lake I occasionally observed a bass nest off my shore line. During
May of last year there were 4 sets of bass spawning in that same area. Thats a great sign that
our lake is flourishing with bass. These are mostly fish that we stocked in 2019 and earlier. We
hadn’t stocked in the last two years but will continue with a new stocking of 6-8 inch bass this
year.

We are always looking for fishing pictures especially of kids with their catch. So please
post on our webpage or email me at iluvtufish@hotmail.com or text at 732 395 1546.
We continue to encourage CPR (Catch, Photo and Release).
